Hi all, I just inherited an old woodfast 6 inch jointer and from my grandfather and would like to get this working again, and I am looking for some knives and gibs?
I have spoken to the guys from Woodfast in SA who say it is quite old and they dont have the gibs? - metal blade retaining strips.
Firstly just wondering if anyone has any info where to possibly get these from, and any other info on this jointer as well. I may be able to source a set of generic 6 inch knives but the gibs? I would have to get fabricated if I cant find them, also there is no bolt holes or tapped holes in the cutterhead so are these geld in with compression from the bolts?
I have tried to do some research on the net and haven't found much information relating to woodfast, but I have found a bit more info relating to an American Delta 34-205 or 34-207. If anyone has any information at all that would be greatly appreciated.
