Hi fellow woodworkers!
Hoping for some advice on how to go about problem solving an issue with my Woodman SB1012OS contractor table saw.
Today all of a suddent the blade height function became extremely difficult - to the point of being stuck! I can now move it up/down but it's very very difficult, and in some parts of the rotation, things feel a bit 'crunchy' like you would expect a worn or fowled bearing to feel. I've checked the gear mechanism from the handle/wheel you turn which goes into a worm style gearing and the mechanism seems to be working, but it's just really really hard.
Has anyone come across this type of issue before? What are the common culprits? Whilst I'd love to use this as an excuse to buy a new proper saw! funds are low, and I really need to make do with this one for now!
