This is my first attempt doing segmenting something small, a handle for a letter opener.

Pieces started on a scrap block cut to 45 degrees on 4 sides then each individual piece glued on. Have done a pen blank similar but had 8 sides, total number of pieces excess of 800 X 1.6 mm thick 12mm long 15mm wide, 3 months gluing just to make the blank, every day another layer. Finished with CA.
Sorry no WIP Pics, didn't have a camera back then. Could do another, if enough interested.:oo:
