Recently purchased a hand saw mostly because the etch bears the same name as my father. Now I'm interested in any information on the manufacturer but can not find any. I think it was made by the Sanderson Brothers Co. in about 1933? It has a legible etch that says J. Sanderson, New York, Extra, Patent Ground, Spring Warranted Steel, 25. It has the old split nut fasteners. Ebay might still show it at: RARE J Sanderson Split Nut 4 1 2 TPI Rip Saw with Full Etch | eBay
Would appreciate any background information you can provide on any history anyone might know? Just for personal reasons as mentioned.
