Small milling required - Brisbane area

mercredi 13 janvier 2016

Hey folks,

Bit of a hard one here. I was speaking to a good mate of mine who moved up to QLD at the end of last year. He is in the process of modifying his house in order to make it useful for their ever growing family. They had a silky oak dropped in their yard, and I had full intention of going up to mill it (with my chainsaw mill) and make something nice for him. Alas I have run out of time to get there myself to do it and was wondering if anyone in the area would like the job?

He lives in Holland Park, and from the photos, I can only assume that access is quite good (right next to carport so there must be a driveway!!) I dont know the QLD landscape so have no idea who lives near here as most people milling seem to be in FNQ so hopefully someone has a spare day!!

Basically as long as there is enough for me to make him a coffee table or record cupboard (he is a music nerd) then I would be happy to split the gains with whomever wants the job (if that is something that sweetens the deal). I have no idea of cost, but I'm happy to discuss with anyone interested.

The other shorter logs are for turning blanks etc which I will process myself if they're too much hassle for anyone else. They're much easier to move. The large trunks are in the way of his new development so time is of the essence a bit.

Just putting the feelers out there folks. Hopefully this isn't a silly request and someone is able to help. I'd hate to have to call in the woodchipper for this one.

Thanks a bunch

Gabriel
