A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to pick up a used Festool plunge saw and sanders.
Unfortunately it didn't come with a guide rail so I made my own.
This is the mark 3.0 version, the first two were basically made from wood but still functioned ok.
Having dabbled with the notion of making a cnc machine and deciding then not to bother,I had a collection of linear rails and bearings.
Here I joined 2 together to make a 1800mm guide rail for the Festool saw,the other side of the rail accomodates a veneer cutter.
This rail could also be adapted to work with a router or other machines.
