I have a slab of fig tree timber that I have cut in half, one half for my sons desk, the other half for me to play with.
I ripped it down the centre with a hand held circular saw to make some boards, and found this brown discolouration along the freshly sawn edge. It was dry and hard.
Can anyone please advise what these marking could be, and if it is safe to store with my stack of timbers?
