Last week I mentioned that I was in Istanbul and BobL suggested that a visit to the city's Military Museum might be interesting. It was.



As might be be expected, there were numerous weapons on display, many of which were firearms. As not to cause offense I will post some photos of those weapons in the possibly more appropriate Gunsmithing forum.



The photos below show examples of raising, forming, casting, etching and inlay. The work was executed between the 15th and 18th centuries.
