Hey guys,
I'm setting up a new upholstery shop and need to make a couple of benches (6mx2.8m and 4.8x2.4) and rather than going in blind and hoping for the best, I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone can point me in the right direction.
They'll be 900 high, with a shelf in the middle and on the bottom to store material rolls. I have access to 16mm melamine sheets at a good rate (required for the shelves as mdf/other options mark the material and work).
I was planning on using 90x35 for the framing (70x35 would be nicer on the budget if its strong enough?), in a similar fashion to the image attached (without the back board), but with bracing across each way every 1200 or so.
Any hints or tips would be hugely appreciated! I'll be knocking these up this coming weekend :)
