Well guys I thought its about time I posted something on here so here is my little project I worked on this arvo.
So the story goes, I love camping...
I've bought myself 2 aluminum front opening toolboxes that I have mounted on the back of my ute and I needed some way of organizing all my camping gear within these aluminum toolboxes.
Plastic containers just isn't my style (especially when you do what I do for a living).
2 sheets of 6mm birch ply and a factory full of tools/ equipment and away I go.
I did a quick sketch and did some measurements of what I wanted and made sure all the things I was wanting to put in the boxes could fit.
Then started ripping up the sheets. Next came the mitres because as professional box maker I couldn't help myself. Plus its just easier and looks better, thats a win win situation.

Next was the handles. I wanted to maximize the amount of storage I have in these boxes I opted for a cutout rather than a handle of some sort.
So a quick 2min drawing on the computer and they were ready to cut.

A quick 1.5mm round over bit finished the handle off and a light sand before assembly.

Last but not least titebond 3 glue and some tape and a few headless pins here and there and they were left to dry for tomorrow.

There are 2 larger boxes and 2 smaller boxes in each aluminum toolbox.
Will post a picture up of my design and measurement sheets tomorrow.
