I've always wondered if a #7 plane would find any use in my workshop, and when I saw this Rocket #7 (Made in India), I thought, although India is not the best country of origin for hand tools, that for $25 it was worth finding out. After a very basic clean and sharpen it was taking some acceptable shavings from this piece of oak off a pallet.
