I often seem to find odd and quirky items at swap meets. I found a few of these sight glass sets . 1$ each .
The seller said they are sight glass sets for water vessels in boilers . The gaskets appear to be graphite impregnated and the glass itself is around 25mm diam and 15mm thick . There are thin mica lenses in the kit too and a tube of lubricant . I thought they could be used for projects . Also bought a small milling tilting vice for 20 bucks .
