Hi
I need to shim the tailstock on 2 lathes. Both tailstocks need to be raised around .010 " . Ive noticed that the upper main body of the tailstocks just sit on their bases , the clamping pressure of the bed lock down mechanism is all that holds the two pieces together . Im wondering if its worth using a adhesive on the shim steel , on one side , in order to prevent the shims from moving ? Mike
