So, finally getting back around to a bit of woodworking and my workbench build. I want to get a new blade for my bandsaw, capable of ripping nicely through 3-4" of well seasoned Jarrah. I've heard that Starrett Woodpecker blades are pretty good, as are Lenox ones, but I have no idea where to find them. Hare & Forbes sell Starrett blades, but they seem to be a fairly standard type, albeit cheaper than whatever it is that Carba-tec sell in the same size/tpi.
I really don't want to have to wait 6 weeks for something to arrive from over east or overseas, and I'm not looking to break the bank. I just want something reliable, and non-sucky. So if anyone knows a quality retailer in Perth, I'd love to hear about them. Cheers.
PS. It's a 14" Carbatec Bandsaw that takes 2490mm blades. Probably looking for something between 1/2" - 3/4", 2ish TPI.
