I have a need to bore out a timing pulley (T5) for a 30mm centre.
It''s a flanged pulley, the body is aluminium but the flanges are 1mm steel.
I'd planned to do this on the lathe (which is almost back together) but I don't know how securely the flanges are attached to the pulley and if it will hold up being held in a 3 jaw chuck, the only chuck I have.
Any suggestions for doing this safely?
