A friend is clearing out the shed of their recently deceased father.
In the rafters is a solid oregon(?) mast which they'd like to see go to a good home.
4800mm long, base approx 110mm dia, tapering to approx 60mm
It looks straight & the timber is in good nick - not splintering etc, but hasn't been on a boat in decades.
Might be varnish over oil?
Looks like it came off a traditional style of hull, probably gaff or gunter rigged.
Galv fittings & stays seem solid, as does the bronze gooseneck.
The estate is still being settled so there'd be some cost, but not onerous.
If interested, PM me & I'll put you in touch.
cheers
