Plywood work holding jigs for the mill

I had this 9" dia stainless steel fuel tank made up. I supplied the machined flange that the fuel gauge sender mounts to, but the flange ended up with a 1mm bow in it from welding stresses.

Milling the flange flat is of course dead simple, the tricky bit is getting hold of the tank in order to do the milling.


After a bit of head scratching I used 15mm flooring ply, my rotab and epoxy to make these tank holding jigs.


All bolted down ready to go.
