I have been trawling through the internet and various company websites looking for a combination machine Jointer / Thicknesser. So far I have not found anything that I like for what I believe is a fair price, the usual brands and stores around Brisbane sold what would do the job but the ones in budget seem to have too many hang ups and the ones that seem good are way out of budget.
I am after 12” capacity with as long a table as I can get, would MUCH prefer a helical head and I have a budget of $3500 as an absolute max would prefer to keep under $3K.
I have no problems with old machines and would happily take one with straight blades provided it meets the rest of the criteria and I can add Helical head later.
Any advice or second hand machine options would be appreciated.
