New guy here, been lurking around here for awhile. Please forgive me if this has been answered but I have searched and searched and couldn't find the answer.
I have been interested in building a PDR but seeing the OZRacer looks like a better boat with the purchased plans. At first I was going for the MKII then seen the RV and the simpler construction. It is stated that the MKII has the better performance and faster, more for the sailor. On the other hand the RV is the family boat has more room, but slower. I like the RV's side tanks construction.
So my question is why is there a performance difference, is it due to the RV having a side case dagger board and the MKII is center mounted? So if so would building the RV with a center dagger board bring back the performance of the MKII?
