Myrtle and Silver Ash Jewellery Box

vendredi 18 décembre 2015

Have progressed in my box making skills (I think) sufficiently to post some photos of my work. My son has a 65 Mustang and his mechanic who is a Mustang enthusiast has completed numerous amounts of mechanical work for him but won't accept any payment other than for parts. My son tried to thank him by giving him a rare bottle of scotch whiskey, to which his mechanic replied I don't drink. So he had an idea, get his woodie father to make him a jewellery box that he could give to his wife for Xmas. Said son then turned up with a board of Myrtle and said dad here you go.

Box dimensions are 350 by 250 by 150 high, mitred corners with hidden mitre splines, a floating panel lid and silver ash inlays and box linings, tray has dovetail joints.
