About three and a hlaf years ago I made my daughter a tall chest of drawers and a bedside table (see next pic). Her bedroom was not quite big enough to handle two bedsides.

Then she and her husband remodelled the house, making it bigger. In the process, her bedroom grew. She started to drop not-so-subtle hints (about as subtle as a sledgehammer swung from 3 feet away). I managed to ignore these hints until it was impossible to do so.

Tried to buy some NG Rosewood to match the existing cabinets. No joy at all. "Maybe after Chrissie" was the most promising response received. I have 3 boards (200 mm X 25 mm) of NG Rosewood, and rather than wait for new supplies to arrive, decided to cut one into veneers and to make the sides and top from veneered MDF.
Veneers are cut. Making web frames today.
