G'day all,
Those who know me know I am an active tradie and use my tools regularly. I have been looking at spiral cutters for a few years now and pondered 'Why dont they make them for Electric Hand Planers.
At the Brisbane Timber and working with wood show 'Wood Craft Supplies' introduced one to their line up of cutter heads. At the outset I would like to say I have no affiliation with the company or the staff and I paid the going rate for the cutter

Long story short
10/10 - cutting
10/10 - cutting finish
10/10 - changing cutters
7/10 - ease of installation (but is a one off process)
to date I have only used it on clean timber but aim to post some reports on nail strikes etc ... it will happen

In the coming days there will be a series of posts and pictures of the installation process.
Cutting laminated Tassie Oak about 70mm wide max debth and it did not bog down. It felt the pressure but kept going. With the old blades it would have bogged down at that depth in pine

Cutting olive. It was a standing dead tree that was cut down abiut 6 months ago. It was about a 2mm cut depth

I will do some youtube clips later in the year. Links will be posted here.
