I recently bought a Makita RT0701 router for use in my (nearly finished) X-Carve CNC.
I want to be able to cut using 1/8" bits but as a 1/8" collet is not available from Makita*, my only option appears to be a collet reducer.
How safe are these and what's the increase in run-out likely to be?
* A company in the US sells 1/8" collets for this router but by the time you add shipping, it's about $75!
