Semi sphere pattern

I'm playing around with a design for a steel fire pit which will mean bending fairly heavy gauge steel with a sledge hammer and anvil to create a 60cm dia bowl. I'd be very appreciative of a design pattern that will enable me to fabricate a bowl shape with a minimum of hammering/cutting. Many thanks. Phil
