This is the visitor I had in my garden sometime ago. I tried to pick him up but he was too quick for me. I sent a photo to the Queensland Museum and they said he was not a 'blue tongue' but was a 'pink tongue'. Apparently they have a vice-like grip and will not let go if they bite you, so I was grateful it scurried away.
