Figured it was time I was able to measure the moisture content in wood. Sometimes I pick up timber that I know is not yet properly dry and rack it ... and need to be sure is is dry enough to use before incorporating it in a piece of furniture.
Had a look around and there is a wide range of instruments, with a very wide price range. I can't see much difference in performance between the cheaper and more expensive products ... but manufacturer's claims are not always borne out in practice.
Can anyone recommend a decent but inexpensive moisture meter?
