Hi all.
The local sawmill has green cypress, and am looking and getting some 145x22 to build some boxes with rebate joins.
I've only really worked with radiata and hoop before, but from what I've read about cypress (and seen) it splits quit readily,
my main reason for wanting to use it though is it's outside durability.
My questions are these:
1) Can I use my 1/4" narrow staples without causing splitting issues
2) Is it easy enough to work on the router without causing chipping
3) Is green better to use rather than dried (the boxes will be sitting out unpainted in the weather, if that makes any difference)
Cheers
