I run a woodwork group with a group of young boys (10 & 11). Part of what we are doing at the moment is making chopping boards that we then will on sell.
A few of the boys have some gaps from where they have laminated the wood pieces together. The gaps are tiny, but still with food preparation I can see it being a problem with food getting stuck in the gaps.
What would be the best way to fill the gaps? I thought with titebond iii and saw dust but then thought that might wear away with being washed. Any of my other thoughts I don't think would be food safe.
Any other ideas?
