The first one is called The Geisha, and I had a bit of fun with the border. In this case, the border is supposed to look like 4 planks dovetailed together. I carried the pattern around the edges, and reproduced it on the back. The corner protectors were supposed to add to the illusion. Quite happy with the result. The size is 350mm x 350mm
The second one is The Dancer. Skot did this as a scrollsaw portrait, based on a photograph that his wife took. I was very fortunate that she graciously allowed me to use the image. I hope that I did her justice, but admit that the very fine facial features nearly did me in. I work from the back of the piece, and it was a pleasant surprise to find that the fine stuff had actually come out on the face (sometimes they don't). The size is 430mm x 300mm.
