LMR 57 Lion (Titfield Thunderbolt)

lundi 24 novembre 2014

Hi All,

Well I am back. Doctors and Physio say I can't work on the patio tiling, so it is back to the shed.

In 1838 the 0-4-2 locomotive was built - designed for hauling freight. The locomotive was used in the 1953 comedy film - "Titfield Thunderbolt".

This will be a similar size build to the Trevithick 1804 locomotive "Peny-Darren" - approx 1/5 th original scale.

Have purchased some drawings from the UK, although not exactly what I wanted, I will be drawing up all my components as I go.

Looking forward to this build, after my accident it makes you appreciate being able to relax and get out and do things you really want to do.

I reckon this will take quite a while to complete. The starting point will be the drive wheel leaf springs.

Regards
