Bookshelf / sculpture stand , with a Gothic twist

vendredi 2 mai 2014

Latest piece of furniture - it was designed to serve as a bookshelf ( lower shelf) , and a base for a sculpture (top). Could do for a TV stand as well , as a friend of mine pointed. Made of Oak , passing trough tenons, and I couldn't resist to try finishing the tenons in Kintaro Yazawa-stile :).

No sand paper was used on this projeckt , the finish is straught from the tool , which made for some charming and genuine- looking tearouts here and there:; , that only add to the medieval look of it - and so does the dust!:D
