As informed in a previous announcement, Mal was struck down with bowel cancer last year. After several operations and chemo, he is starting to recover, though weak with tingling fingers and toes, he still has one operation to go along with more check-ups etc..
He has been unable to exhibit at wood shows for the past year, but after discussing it with him, he has decided to attend the Sydney show.
He has began to drive again and feels comfortable to be able to take his truck to Sydney.
He will be doing mostly sitting and talking at the show, but his son, myself and a few others will be there to assist.
