So, I've been asked by my SIL to make a frame for a chalk drawing. It has some sentimental attachment so I don't want to damage it.
After a quick google on the best ways to handle and preserve a chalk drawing, I'm none the wiser.
Some say to leave it as is and carefully frame it as soon as possible, others think hair spray is the go but there was concern about any chemical and oily additives ruining the chalk.
One even said they do not use fixatives because they dull any highlights in the drawing.
I'm kinda leaning towards framing it as is on a mat with no protection other than the frame glass.
Anyone out there have any sort of experience or advice to offer.
