SWMBO agists a horse at a riding school that had to move premises a few weeks ago. At the previous premises, SWMBO and a few other agistees had been renting (at great expense) a sea container to use as a tack room but the new premises came with a tack room for agistees but it had no door so only the less valuable stuff could be store there and our living room at home became the defacto saddles etc storage place. When I complained I was asked to come up with a door solution!
Someone had a door that fitted but it was only a thin ply panel door so I whipped up this sort of security screen from 3 x 25 mm fat bar that sits on the inside of the too. SWMBO asked me to add some hooks so I just bent some horseshoes and welded them into place. The welding was by far the easiest part. The door way was not square or planar, and aligning the original hinges/lock etc to suit the old door frame was a right PITA.
It's far from bullet proof but it's a significant improvement on no door at all.
