just got back mower that was on loan to someone for the last few months ( noticed their grass was fence high so asked about my mower that they had ) said wouldnt work anymore was blowing lots of smoke and it wouldnt start
its a briggs and stratton 4 stroke motor when got it home tried to start it and the cord will only go about 100ml and then stops and dosent rewind ( will slowly re wind give it a few days ) is it worth my while taking the winding bit cover off and haveing a look or is it better to just say its dead and bury it ? could it be a easy fix problem or something beyond a rank amateurs skill ?
cant pull cord long enough to get it to turn over so cant tell if motor is stuffed either
are they really dear to work on ?
