Hi WWFers, my name is Kade and I am relatively new to the woodworking game. I enjoy working with wood and have pottered around making bits and bobs of various quality levels. Now my wife has decided to load me up on some more interesting furniture projects, i recently completed a small side/magazine table and the next thing on the list is to be our family dining table!
I have a growing set of tools including the following:
* A few hand tools, block plane, chisels, couple of basic saws.
* Compound mitre saw
* jigsaw
* below average circular saw
* Cheap crap ryobi router (I should have returned this months ago because I think its off center, vibrates and has destroyed almost everything it touches.
* biscuit jointer
* cheap drill press
* power and cordless drill and driver
* orbital sander
I will be looking for some advice on where to buy good timber and what else I might need to buy for the workshop, but most importantly i wanted to get further into this great hobby, and what better way than to get in a forum with like minded people. Maybe I might even join a local club or something too.
Well that's me.
Edit: autocorrect on phone gone wild!
