Ive always lurked in the Lemon drop thread in the Les Paul forum, so I thought Id have a go at one.
well I know its not a Les Paul, but its the lemon drop I was after
Not enough yellow & a bit more red in it than would nail the lemon burst, but in natural light it is closer than the photos suggest. It does look nice.
Ive gone for a minimalist sort of look with vol & tone on a concentric pot and a neck only Shadow Zoller pickup.
It will be pretty much my jazz gig guitar and I have to say that the Zoller pickup is a delight. A local pro who recruited me for a job remarked on it as did that bass player and a number of others (other than family :o) ) . This is not a commercial.
Schaller tuners, Gotoh bridge, Strat jack on the back a la Ribbecke Halfling
My daughter loves the Daddario coloured string balls. She took the pics.
Qld Maple top mahogany body & neck with ebony fingerboard .and..my first full on attempt at a carve top. I used anything that had at edge at various times and - Im now a life member of The Miserable Binders Club.
