I thought I,wouldd share my afternoons workshop escapade. I am probely not going to finish precision grinding at tafer so with one week left I thought I would fire up the surface grinder and work to a tolerance of half as much as the dials graduation. The first job was grinding up a parallel which didn't go so well I couldn't get better 4 micron. So I tried paper under the part which did the job and was able to get the 2 micron parrallell. To get it square I gound the sides of the parallel bolted onto a 123 block, the side is also parrallell to 2 microns but hopefully it's square :roll:
