I'm hoping someone will be able to give me some guidance with this one.
I have an Excalibur 21 Scroll Saw, which I love. Unfortunately, the other weekend what at first appeared to be a simple blade breakage, turned out to be the sheering of one of the bolts in the "bottle screw"-like arrangement of the upper Drive Link Assembly. After some time on the phone with the good folks at Carbatec, I believe that a whole new upper Drive Link Assembly will be on its way to me this week.
Unfortunately, the user manual provides only a series of schematic diagrams of the various bits, but no instructions about disassembling and reassembling the machine. I've made some tentative first steps, but am really not that sure what needs to come off to provide the required access to complete the repair - i.e. to remove the old and insert the new assembly, which I believe will need to be done at the rocker/cam arm.
I'd be most grateful if anyone who has been down a similar path could give me some guidance, especially if that included a diagram(s).
Thanks in advance folks.
Cheers,
