Hi All
I'm doing a little veggie patch.
I live in the yarra valley in a high rainfall area and I have underground springs and 45 degree runoff coming towards the proposed veggie patch.
I'm going with the 50mm retain-it system to 400mm or two sleepers high rather than star pickets or cut ends of TP. I like this idea because when the wood starts to decay at some point I won't need to do to much to replace a TP length! so the theory goes! I felt these would give me greater flexibility long term.
My question is should I just backfill or cement these into place? The soil is approx 150mm of very gritty soil then approx 200mm of white clay. In one hole I've dug I found an old drainage slotted agi pipe, draining to no where but my hole has come right up next to it, should I move the foundation holes or does it matter? I dug two holes last night and both holes filled with water after I dug them!
What the best course of action here?
Thanks for your help
