I'm looking at purchasing a DC7 but I'm quickly running out of space in my garage and don't really want a large 2/4 bag extractor taking up space. One option I'm considering is modifying a DC7 slightly so that the motor sits inside my garage and pipes (through the wall) to the bags outside (probably in some sort of makeshift shed/shelter).
But I'm conscious of making too much noise near to my neighbours. Has anyone done anything like this before? And will I reduce the noise to the outside by keeping the motor inside the garage? Or will the noise just go straight through the pipe and out?
