Hi, my first post here, great site by the way.
I just got a triton 2000 work centre and am using it in a small work area of 6 x 3.5 x 3mtrs, I got the dust bucket thing with it and connected that to a standard hoover just to see how things went and used it in table saw mode... you can guess the rest, bugger that for a game.
I've been reading this forum and looking into dust collection and quite frankly I'm a bit bamboozled to the point where I now think it's a waste of time trying to get a small shed like mine dust free if whatever method you use is vented back within the shed. I have chronic sinus problems most of the year and its the micro particles left floating around after using what seem to be most filters that worries me most.
It seems to me that the main criteria for normal dust extraction and filtering is to allow you to work inside and be both dry and not have heat sucked out of the area. So there is the main trade off as I see it, inside, dry and warm with dust up the bugle, or inside, dry, but potentially cold at times
with all the dust (and heat) taken out of the area
I'm going for the latter, and would like some opinions on what I have planned...
A powerfull wall mounted extractor fan, (old Vent Axia GX12, this thing pulls the door closed!) at opposite end of the shed to the door which is 6mtrs away. This, I hope, will take out everything suspended in the air generated by the tool that misses the outlet exhaust vents etc withinn a few minutes.
Attatch a centrifrugal fan outside the shed that will be ducted inside to this...

Just the usual collection bucket setup, no filters or anything.
I am happy to compromise on heat loss and having to hoover up crap that gets past the poor'ish dust extraction I will get to the actual machine so I hope I have got a good dust and micro particle free system here without spending a fortune.
I know you guys down under all have big ones but as size is important to us poms a bit of advice on the best size sucker would be much appreciated plus is a centrifrugal fan the way to go?
I'm not very tech savvy so be gentle
Cheers
Steve.
