2/3 scale Brough Superior

Well the time has come to have a go at the Brough.
Looking at the pictures of the bike I'm building it's a little daunting, but that's half the fun.

The bikes a 1939 SS100 but in fact it was made in 1938.
The reason being that it was built by Brough to be displayed at the 1938 Olympia in Earls Court to introduce his 1939 model.

The bike is owned by Terry Hobden in England, and I've been lucky enough that on his trip to England fletty was able to photograph the bike.
His come back with over 200 great pictures of the machine showing fantastic detail.

From time to time you'll notice in the pictures fletty took of the bike, there's a small red dot in frame.
That's his rather clever way of giving the scale of the parts on the bike.
The red disc is 29.5mm wide from that I can workout the dimensions of the original and then reduce them to 2/3 scale "Brilliant fletty". :2tsup:

Like with the Indian I'll start with the barrels.
I wont even have a guess at how long the build will take.
The Indian was about 16 months work and the Brough looks to be more complex.
So we'll just see how it goes!.

Cheers
Trev.
