What is that "thick" inlay type decorative timber stripping called?
The only example I can think of to reference is the Studley tool chest, it has it around the edge of the two halves where it opens. In that case it is ebony inlayed with ivory diamonds from memory. It can be stripes, dots, checkers etc.
