With Thanks(and blame) to Eskimo I present my Hauser 3SM (it was sold as a 3SMO, but I'm pretty sure its not. Though on the + side it does have a Sony DRO)
As a 3SM its guaranteed(when new of course) within 0.003mm anywhere on the table(400*250mm travel)
As a 3SMO 0.002mm
As a 3SMO with DRO 0.002mm so take your pick lol*
I'd put a bid on it thinking "gee that would be cool". I think the only guy more surprised than me when I won was the seller. I thought I was going to have to find a box to hide it in  but I fessed up...... she took it pretty bloody well considering!
I think its the smallest 1400kgs I've come across.
Time for coffee
Stuart
*for anyone that cares... the SM uses the leadscrew with automatic correction. the SMO (Optical) uses a separate scale so the leadscrew plays no part in accuracy.(as I understand it at this point.....there are a lot of different machines built over a lot of years so its a little hard to be sure about anything lol.
