It looks like some poor old beggar has pegged out and his family have decided to donate his saw collection to landfill. The boys at the buyback section are getting to know me and put them aside for my inspection. How could I resist with their big sad eyes looking up at me?
Some long saws awaiting my atention, quite a variety in this lot.
A couple of modern backsaws, cleaned up and sharpened and handle blanks to replace the plastic ones. A Sandvic and a Tyzack.
And a couple of finished efforts. A W Tyzack and Sons and Turner No. 13 from around 1920 and a modern Sirdar saw with a new handle. I wonder if the Sirdar brand was one used by Tyzacs for their lesser quality tools. I read somewhere that the Tyzack family once lived in Sirdar St. Perhaps someone here could inform me.
