I had acquired several Disston D-95 saws without handles or handles that were irreparably damaged. I decided to re-handle them.
The original saw came with a high quality plastic handle and I have replaced it with a timber handle made from Spotted Gum to give it an Australian theme. The D-95 was the most expensive saw Disston made and to my mind was well worth salvaging.
One of these saws I am keeping for myself, another has been snapped up already by a work colleague and there are two more left. This one is the full sized 26" handsaw. 8ppi, it has been jointed, shaped, set and hand sharpened with sloped gullets.
This saw is intended to be an everyday user. The price is a BIN (Direct transfer unless other arrangements made) with postage to be paid by the purchaser.

There are some problems with replacing the original handle with one of wood and rather than go into the detail here you can see the issues and some history of the D-95 in this earlier thread:

The etch is completely visible and there is light staining only to the saw plate.
