I went to Bunnings this morning. I don't know why, they never seem to have what I want, but for some reason I keep going there. I must be a masochist or something. I should just stay home and bang my head against the brick wall.
Anyway on the way out I found a palletload of these sitting by the registers:

I thought for the sake of $4.50 (the 50c piece is the change, not part of the purchase) I will take one home. its 2m long and that's the part of the longer measures that you tend to use more than 90% of the time and it fits in my pocket without trying to pull my pants down. :2tsup:
The quality seems to be there but it is a bit tight pulling out the last 200mm of tape, possibly as a result of trying to make it as small as possible.
This was at Bunnings Hoppers Crossing but I would expect that all stores would have them.
(usual disclaimer: I do not work for bunnings and never will and have no other affinity with them except as a (usually disgruntled) customer)
