Hello All from Italy.
I finally had the chance to get a Barolo barrel (~60 years old). Formerly used for beer, at least 2" thick Oak. 3000 liters (still smells of wine)
I would like to make a garden hot tub out of it.
My worries are:
- it's a horizontal barrel: will the side hold the weight if tilted to vertical?
- I would just remove the top and use it as is, but it's very high if tilted, so if I cut it in 2 pieces it would be wider. Downside is the top big port that will not hold anymore, and I'm also worried it will fall in pieces. I cut secure the rings with screws.
Any hint is very welcome.
Many thanks
