I need to buy some more biscuits.
When I first started woodworking I bought 1,000 biscuits. The brand will not be named, (no names ... no lawsuits) but they were crappy. I tested them by soaking them in water and measuring the size to which they expanded. Very few reached 4 mm, which is the size of the slot.
So, I bought some Haron brand biscuits ... more expensive, but much better. They swell to about 4.2 mm in testing, are more uniform and provide superior alignment.
Did a search here and found a bunch of info about biscuit cutters, but nothing on the quality of biscuits.
Is there an even better brand out there? If so, what makes them better?
I will soon buy a Domino, but see the biscuit cutter still getting a fair bit of use, which is why I seek info about biscuit quality.
Thanks,
John
